Great App To Track Calories
Sun, May 6th 2012 8:39a Kathy Brown Wow! In my first post about the Nike Fuel band, I mentioned that I need the same thing for tracking what I eat. While this app doesn’t just automatically track stuff, it is about as close as you can get!

More on Nike Fuelband

I love it!
First, the battery life. It lasts roughly 9 days per charge. It charges up pretty quickly, and has a nice little reminder indicator as it is getting low. For something I am using all day, every day, that seems pretty good to me.

Nike+ Fuelband

If you haven’t heard of it, it is a small wristband (slightly thicker than those Lance Armstrong type bands) with a three-way accelerometer to track your movement throughout the day. Xpages Pager Control Tip

Wifi Mifi oh my

I had a decision to make, 3G or wifi? Given the growing number of devices my family owns, many of them wifi only (iPod Touches and a PlayBook), I decided to go wifi and get a Mifi. Did You Use Business Cards at Lotusphere?

Happy Running New Year

SocialScope Error Win

Google Plus is Growing On Me like a Fungus

Running in the Heat and Humidity

Gearing up for Summer

Never Give Up on a Run

I've run this race before and it's a fun race. It winds through several neighborhoods, and if the weather is nice people come out and play music (think Chariots of Fire and the Rocky theme) and cheer runners on. When it's really hot, many people put up hoses/sprinklers to run through.

Have you tried the Bolt Browser? Even better, have you downloaded the Bolt Browser plugin?
I've been using the Bold browser for a while now and it is so much better than the native browsers on the BlackBerry. Much faster and you can have tabs similar to Firefox and other "regular" browsers.

Gadget Glee - Mobile Device Charger

According to the description, it holds a charge up to three months. It's really small, which is great, it drops right into my bag without noticeable bulk or weight. I was out one evening and noticed my Blackberry battery was nearly depleted. I plugged it into my newly purchased and charged portable power supply. In about an hour, it was fully charged. Tethering on the Mac with Verizon

Nike Women's Marathon - Race Report
Wed, Oct 27th 2010 10:22p Kathy Brown On October 17th, I completed the Nike Women's Marathon. It was my first marathon. It was also day 504 (I think) of my running streak.
Race time was 7AM, starting in Union Square. My hotel was just off the square and I figured on a 6AM arrival. That worked well, giving me time to find the start and the bag drop off and mill around a little bit, but not too long, before the start. It was dark and the weather started out about as perfect as you can get for a marathon, in the low 50s.
