Tue, Dec 20th 2011 9:08a   Necip Sayar
A federal payroll tax reduction for two months is being pushed in the US. What will that do to the many payroll systems which are already programmed with the 2012 tax rates? Read more » [read] Keywords: blogger

A wake up call to IBM
Mon, Jan 10th 2011 6:13a   Necip Sayar
Igor Bubis has a nicely written post that briefly summarizes the history of Lotus Notes. It is a very good read, but one sentence in the post exclusively expresses my own feelings too: I hope that IBM will wake up and make all of us, Lotus Notes enthusiasts proud very soon. I had little hope that IBM will ever wake up since recently, but one development, however minor, has once more made me somewhat more optimistic. We all will be waiting for more to come. Lotus Notes/Domino 8.5.3 Code Drop 2 (beta) is Now Available
Fri, Dec 17th 2010 8:57a   Necip Sayar
IBM announced today that Notes/iNotes/Designer/Domino 8.5.3 Code Drop 2 is now available for Managed Beta Partners. Most important feature (to me) seems to be the integrated Subversion source control feature in the designer client. It is also announced that, there will be a Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.3 release together with the final release. A Lotus Notes Traveler beta is just not yet included in the beta. Wed, Dec 8th 2010 9:22a   Necip Sayar
According to a German blog, Domino Collaboration Express prices are expected to rise. Previously, express licenses did not allow an organization to install clustered Domino servers. IBM seems to have decided to remove this restriction, but for a price. Read more » [read] Keywords: collaboration connections domino ibm lotus blogger
